October 25, 2025 – Republic Day of Kazakhstan.
On this festive occasion, the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, addressed the people of the country with a congratulatory message:
“On this day in 1990, an event of great significance in the history of the Republic took place – the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Kazakhstan was adopted.
Over the years of independence, major successes have been achieved in the development of the social sphere, the foundation of a new and effective economic system has been laid, and the quality of life of citizens has improved significantly.
Yet the main achievement of the Republic remains the unity of the people of Kazakhstan, who have carefully preserved peace and harmony throughout these years.
The Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan has always contributed to the development of the spiritual and cultural life of the country, the preservation of traditions, and the affirmation of moral values in society. While offering prayers to God for the Fatherland, its authorities, the armed forces, and the people, it actively seeks to instill in people’s lives the enduring ideals of goodness, justice, and unity.”
In honor of the holiday, the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan sent congratulatory messages to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart K. Tokayev, to the state leadership, parliamentarians, and the akims of the country’s regions and cities.
