Archbishop of Petropavlovsk and Bulayevo
Born on September 11, 1968, in Petropavlovsk (Republic of Kazakhstan) in a family of servicemen.
In 1985, he graduated from secondary school No. 21 in Petropavlovsk. In 1991, he graduated from Petropavlovsk Pedagogical Institute named after K.D. Ushinsky with a degree in History.
Since 1990, he served as a sexton at the Church of All Saints in Petropavlovsk.
In 1992, he was ordained a deacon by Bishop Eleutherius of Chimkent and Tselinograd, and on February 14, 1993, he was ordained a priest.
From 1996 to 2002, he studied part-time at Tobolsk Theological Seminary. From 2002 to 2007, he studied at the Orthodox St. Tikhon Humanitarian University.
Since September 1995, he has been the director of the private secondary school in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Petropavlovsk.
On August 31, 1998, he was appointed rector of the Church of All Saints in Petropavlovsk.
On May 5, 2002, he was elevated to the rank of archpriest.
In 2005, he was appointed chairman of the diocesan department of religious education, catechization, and youth work.
On February 25, 2012, he was appointed a member of the diocesan council and deputy chairman of the diocesan court of the Petropavlovsk-Bulayevo diocese.
By the decision of the Holy Synod on May 30, 2014 (journal No. 36), he was elected Bishop of Petropavlovsk and Bulayevo.
On June 5, 2014, at the Church of the Holy Martyrs Faith, Hope, Love, and Sophia in Moscow (representation of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District), he was tonsured a monk with the name Vladimir in honor of St. Vladimir, Equal-to-the-Apostles, Prince by Archbishop Justinian of Naro-Fominsk.
On June 7, 2014, at the Church of the Holy Martyrs Faith, Hope, Love, and Sophia in Moscow, he was elevated to the rank of archimandrite by Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan.
He was nominated as bishop on June 7, 2014, in the Throne Hall of the Patriarchal Chambers of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra.
He was consecrated on June 8, during the Liturgy at the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. The service was led by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
On May 6, 2022, during the Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, he was elevated to the rank of archbishop by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.
