Born on December 24, 1965, in Frunze, Kyrgyz SSR. From 1973 to 1983, he studied at the secondary school in the village of Georgievka, Dzhambul Region, Kazakh SSR. From 1984 to 1986, he served in the Armed Forces. He was baptized on November 24, 1988, in the St. Nicholas Church in Almaty.
From 1989 to 1994, he studied at the Faculty of Thermal Power Engineering of the Almaty Institute of Power Engineering, specializing in "Engineer of Thermal Power Plants." From 1994 to 1997, he worked in his specialty at TPP-1 in Almaty.
On September 21, 1997, in the Ascension Cathedral of Almaty, he was ordained a deacon by Archbishop Alexy of Almaty and Semipalatinsk. On September 24, he was assigned to the clergy of the Iveron Church in the village of Burunday, Almaty Region.
On January 3, 1998, with the blessing of Archbishop Alexy, he was tonsured a monk with the name Ignatius in honor of St. Ignatius the God-bearer by Hieromonk Sophronius (Evtikheev), Dean of the churches of the III Almaty District and Rector of the Church of St. Sergius in the village of Ashchibulak, Almaty Region.
On March 27, 1998, in the Ascension Cathedral of Almaty, he was ordained a presbyter by Archbishop Alexy.
From 1998 to 2000, he studied by correspondence at the Almaty Diocesan Theological School.
On February 3, 2000, he was appointed rector of the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Zhelezinka, Pavlodar Region. From April 27, 2004, he served as rector of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos Church in the city of Issyk, Almaty Region.
On April 19, 2009, he was elevated to the rank of hegumen by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
From 2000 to 2012, he studied by correspondence at the Moscow Theological Seminary.
On December 1, 2011, he was appointed chairman of the Youth Affairs Commission of the Astana Diocese. From February 11, 2012, he served as chairman of the Youth Affairs Commission of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District of the Russian Orthodox Church. On March 1, 2012, he was appointed dean of the Issyk Church District.
On August 1, 2012, he was appointed as a teacher of the subjects "Sect Studies" and "Missiology" for the fourth-year students of the Almaty Theological Seminary.
Since December 7, 2012, he has been the president of the Bible Society of Kazakhstan.
On April 25, 2013, he was appointed rector of St. Nicholas Church in the city of Talgar, Almaty Region. From December 12, 2015, he served as a member of the Diocesan Council of the Astana Diocese.
From 2013 to 2017, he studied by correspondence in the master's program at St. Petersburg Theological Academy, specializing in "Orthodox Theology" with a focus on "Dogmatic Theology and Patrology." He defended his master's thesis on "The Possibilities of Orthodox Mission in the Environment of Post-Protestantism and Sects."
Since 2017, he has been a representative of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District of the Russian Orthodox Church on the board of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs.
By the decision of the Holy Synod on March 24, 2022 (Journal No. 6), he was elected Bishop of Aktobe and Kyzylorda.
On April 3, 2022, in the Ascension Cathedral of Almaty, he was elevated to the rank of archimandrite by Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan.
He was nominated as bishop on April 6, 2022, in the Throne Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. He was consecrated on May 1 during the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, with the service led by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.
