Born on November 26, 1971, in a worker's family in the city of Leninogorsk, East Kazakhstan region.
From 1979 to 1989, he studied at secondary school No. 24 in the village of Pervomaisky, Ili district, Almaty region. From 1989 to 1990, he served in the ranks of the Soviet Armed Forces.
On October 1, 1995, he received the Sacrament of Baptism at the Pokrovsky Church in Almaty.
From 1998 to 2000, he studied at the Almaty Diocesan Theological School; from 2006 to 2010, at the Tomsk Theological Seminary (by correspondence); and from 2015 to 2019, at the Moscow Theological Academy (by correspondence).
On April 12, 1998, he was ordained a deacon by Archbishop Alexy of Almaty and Semipalatinsk at the Ascension Cathedral in Almaty and appointed as a regular cleric of the Cyril and Methodius Church in the village of Pervomaisky, Almaty region.
On June 20, 2005, at the Church of the Nativity of Christ in Almaty, he was ordained a presbyter by Metropolitan Methodius of Astana and Almaty, assigned to the Cyril and Methodius Church in the village of Pervomaisky.
On June 7, 2007, he was appointed rector of the Annunciation Church in Almaty. From January 10, 2013, he provided pastoral care to the inmates of the correctional institution LA 155/6.
On January 4, 2015, he was tonsured into the mantle by Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, taking the name Klavdian in honor of the martyr Klavdian of Pamphylia (commemorated on February 3/16).
On November 1, 2016, he was appointed acting rector of the John the Theologian Cathedral and the Church of the Archangel Gabriel in Taldykorgan, and acting dean of the Taldykorgan Church District.
By the decision of the Holy Synod on March 24, 2022 (journal No. 7), he was elected Bishop of Taldykorgan, Vicar of the Astana Diocese.
On March 30, 2022, during the Liturgy at the Church of the Archangel Gabriel in Taldykorgan, he was elevated to the rank of archimandrite by Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan.
He was nominated as bishop on April 6, 2022, in the Throne Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. He was consecrated as bishop on May 6, during the Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The service was led by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
