Born on April 16, 1962, in the city of Alma-Ata.
From 1969 to 1979, he studied at school No. 63 in Alma-Ata, and from 1979 to 1984, he attended the Alma-Ata Music College named after P.I. Tchaikovsky. From 1984 to 1996, he worked at the Alma-Ata Association of Musical Ensembles.
Baptized in 1989 at the St. Nicholas Cathedral in Alma-Ata. From 1993 to 1996, he worked as a watchman and reader at the St. Nicholas Cathedral.
With the blessing of Archbishop Alexy of Alma-Ata and Semipalatinsk, he entered the Alma-Ata Diocesan Theological School in 1995, which he graduated from in 1997.
On May 22, 1996, he was ordained a deacon by Archbishop Alexy at the St. Nicholas Cathedral in Alma-Ata, and on January 4, 1998, he was ordained a priest at the Ascension Cathedral in Alma-Ata.
From June 3, 1996, to January 20, 1998, he served as a cleric at the St. Nicholas Cathedral in Alma-Ata.
On January 20, 1998, he was appointed rector of the Church of Saints Adrian and Natalia in Otegen-Batyr, Almaty Region.
From 2001 to 2006, he studied in the correspondence department of the Moscow Theological Seminary, and from 2006 to 2010, in the correspondence department of the Moscow Theological Academy.
On March 25, 2003, he was appointed dean of the churches of the 3rd Almaty (Otegen-Batyr) district.
In 2009, with the blessing of Metropolitan Methodius of Astana and Almaty, he led the construction of a church on the territory of correctional facility LA 155/8 in the village of Zarechny, Almaty Region. The construction was completed in 2010. In 2012, the church was dismantled by order of the facility's administration due to new legislation.
On October 26, 2011, he was appointed responsible for the spiritual care of prisoners in correctional facilities in Almaty and the Almaty Region.
On August 1, 2012, he was appointed a lecturer at the Almaty Theological Seminary, teaching "Practical Guidance for Pastors," and in 2016, he became the head of the Department of Church-Practical Disciplines. On August 1, 2017, he became a lecturer in "Homiletics."
On December 12, 2015, he was appointed a member of the Diocesan Council of the Astana Diocese.
Since August 23, 2017, he has been the chairman of the Synodal Commission of the Metropolitan District of Kazakhstan for Prison Ministry.
On April 1, 2021, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan tonsured him a monk with the name Chrysanthus in honor of the martyr Chrysanthus of Rome.
By the decree of Metropolitan Alexander on November 1, 2021, he was appointed as the vicar head of the Metropolitan District of Kazakhstan in the Shymkent Diocese.
By the decision of the Holy Synod on October 13, 2022 (journal No. 100), he was elected Bishop of Shymkent and Turkestan.
On October 22, 2022, during the Divine Liturgy at the Ascension Cathedral in Almaty, he was elevated to the rank of archimandrite by Metropolitan Alexander.
He was designated as bishop on November 5, 2022, in the Throne Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. He was consecrated as bishop on December 2, during the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, led by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
