Born on July 17, 1959, in the city of Alma-Ata.
From 1966-1972, he studied at school No. 10 in Alma-Ata. From 1972-1976, he studied at RFMSH in Alma-Ata.
From 1976-1982, he studied at the Faculty of Physics of the Kazakh State University, specializing as a physicist and physics teacher.
From 1982-1986, he worked at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, holding the position of engineer. From 1986-1989, he worked as a technician at the UMET of the Trust "Kazelelevatorstroy."
He was baptized in 1977 in the Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul at the Yauz Gates in Moscow.
On April 7, 1990, he was ordained as a deacon, and on August 28, as a priest.
From 1990-1995, he pursued part-time studies at the Moscow Theological Seminary, and in 2002, he graduated from the Moscow Theological Academy (part-time).
On April 12, 1992, he was tonsured a monk by Archbishop Alexy of Alma-Ata and Semipalatinsk with the name Veniamin in honor of the Holy Martyr Veniamin of Petrograd.
In 1990, he was a cleric of the Cathedral of the Apostles Peter and Paul in Petropavlovsk, North Kazakhstan region of the Kazakh SSR. From 1990-2003, he served as the rector of the Church of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg in the city of Kapchagai.
From 1998-2003, he taught catechism, Old and New Testament, and from 2001 - general church history at the Almaty Diocesan Theological School.
From 2000-2003, he served as the dean of the 3rd Almaty Church District.
In 2000, he was elevated to the rank of hegumen.
From 2003-2022, he was the secretary of the Chimkent Diocese.
In 2016, he was elevated to the rank of archimandrite.
By the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on March 16, 2023 (journal No. 4), he was elected vicar of the Astana Diocese with the title "Bishop of Talgar."
He was named a bishop on April 27, 2023, in the Throne Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. He was consecrated on April 30 during the Liturgy in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The services were led by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'.
By the decree of Metropolitan Alexander on July 27, 2023, he was appointed rector of the Exaltation of the Cross Church in Almaty.
