December 6, 2024. Shymkent. The Diocesan Assembly of the Shymkent Diocese was held at the Kazan Church under the chairmanship of Bishop Chrysanthus of Shymkent and Turkestan.
The assembly was attended by deans of church districts, rectors and clergy of parishes, heads of diocesan departments, and staff of the diocesan administration.
Before the meeting began, Acting Secretary of the Diocese A.B. Demin announced the agenda and procedures for the assembly.
Opening the session, the ruling bishop addressed the attendees with a welcoming speech. Bishop Chrysanthus then presented a report summarizing the results of the past year and outlined the general plan of spiritual, educational, social, and youth-oriented events for the current year.
During the meeting, participants emphasized the need to intensify parish life, enhance spiritual education, and discussed the activities of Sunday schools, as well as the construction and restoration of churches and church facilities.
At the conclusion of the assembly, Bishop Chrysanthus thanked the members of the diocesan council, heads of diocesan departments, deans, and rectors for their work.
