On August 5, 2024, in Belarus, the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, who is visiting the holy sites of White Russia at the invitation of Metropolitan Benjamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the main church of the Assumption Zhyrovichy Monastery
Concelebrating with the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan were: Archbishop Guriy of Novogrudok and Slonim, Abbot of the Assumption Zhyrovichy Monastery, and Honorary Patron of the Minsk Theological Seminary; Archbishop Amphilochius of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semipalatinsk; Bishop Auxentius of Nesvizh, Vicar of the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus; Protopriest Viktor Vasilevich, Rector of the Minsk Theological Seminary; and the monastic brethren in holy orders.
At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Metropolitan Alexander performed a prayer service before the main shrine of Belarus—the miraculous icon of the Mother of God of Zhyrovichy. The hierarch offered special prayers for the archpastors, pastors, monastics, and laity of the Metropolitan District of Kazakhstan, for peace and well-being in the land of Kazakhstan, and for the President, authorities, military, and people of the Republic.
