On the day of the commemoration of the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus, Metropolitan Alexander celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Church in the Kemer microdistrict.

On August 17, 2024, the day of the commemoration of the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus: Maximilian, Iamblichus, Martinian, John, Dionysius, Exacustodianus, and Antoninus.

 Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Church in the Kemer microdistrict (formerly the village of Pervomaysky) in the city of Almaty.

Concelebrating with the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan were: the Dean of the Churches of the Southern Capital, Rector of St. Nicholas Cathedral, Protopriest Valery Zakharov; the Dean of the Ili Church District, Rector of the Dormition Parish, Protopriest Alexander Zyryanov; the Sacristan of the Christ Nativity Cathedral, Protopriest Alexander Gaychenya; the Rector of the Church in honor of Righteous John of Kronstadt in the village of Zhetygen, Almaty Region, Protopriest Vadim Alekseev; the Rector of the Seraphim Church in the village of Chapaevo, Protopriest Alexander Ageev; the Head of the Metropolis Commission for Charity and Social Ministry, Protopriest Vyacheslav Pugachev; the Head of the Metropolitan’s Personal Secretariat, Hieromonk Prokhor (Endovitsky); the Rector of the Church of St. Demetrius in the village of Bayserke, Priest Vladimir Shishlov; the Rector of the Church of St. Nicholas in the city of Talgar, Priest Kirill Freygang; the Sacristan of the Adrian-Natalia Church, Priest Ioann Konoplev; the Head of the Metropolitan's Protocol Service, Protodeacon Roman Golovin; Protodeacon Vladimir Syrovatsky, and Hierodeacon Zinon (Marov).

For the spiritual consolation of the faithful, a precise replica, "measure for measure," of the miraculous icon of the Mother of God "The Healer" was brought to the church for the service.

The men's choir of the Almaty Diocese, directed by Deacon Alexander Piven, and the choir of the Dormition Church provided the liturgical chanting.

The sermon after the communion verse was delivered by Priest Kirill Freygang.

After the dismissal of the Liturgy, a glorification of the Queen of Heaven was performed before the icon of the Mother of God "The Healer," after which Metropolitan Alexander sprinkled the worshippers with holy water, congratulated the clergy and the faithful on the commemoration day of the Seven Youths of Ephesus, and delivered a sermon.
