On December 8, 2024, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the Educational Service Commission of the Astana Diocese organized an international online carousel titled “Countries and Peoples: Mexico.”
This event continued the series of five games under the banner “Countries and Peoples”, focusing on Christianity in Serbia and Montenegro, Greece, Mexico, South Africa, and North and South Korea.
Teams of school and university students from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Lithuania participated in this intellectual competition. A total of 13 teams took part, including 10 from Sunday and general education schools and Orthodox gymnasiums, and 3 from parish youth clubs.
The quiz included 20 questions on the history, culture, and the religious and ethnic composition of the population of the United Mexican States.
