An International Online Quiz “Countries and Peoples” Held in Celebration of Orthodox Youth Day

On February 9, 2025, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the Educational Mission Commission of the Astana Diocese organized the international youth online quiz “Countries and Peoples.”

The event was dedicated to International Orthodox Youth Day, which is observed annually on February 15, the Feast of the Meeting of the Lord (Sretenie).

Teams of schoolchildren and students from Kazakhstan and Russia took part in the online quiz competition. A total of 17 teams participated in the event.

The quiz questionnaire for the online Olympiad included tasks related to ethnogeography and the geography of religions.

The intellectual competition was divided into two categories: Sunday Schools (participants under 17 years old) Youth Clubs (participants over 17 years old)
