The online quiz “Countries and Peoples: Serbia and Montenegro” took place

On October 27, 2024, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the Commission for Educational Ministry of the Astana Diocese held an international youth online quiz “Countries and Peoples: Serbia and Montenegro.”

The competition marked the beginning of a series of five games of the international quiz for Orthodox youth, united under the name “Countries and Peoples” and dedicated to Christianity in Serbia and Montenegro, Greece, Mexico, the Republic of South Africa, as well as North and South Korea.

Participants of this intellectual competition included teams of schoolchildren and students from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Latvia. A total of 17 teams participated (13 representing Sunday and general education schools and Orthodox gymnasiums, and 4 representing parish youth clubs).

The quiz consisted of twenty questions on the history of the Orthodox Church in the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Montenegro, as well as the history, culture, and socio-political life of the Balkan countries.

The online competition was held in two subgroups: Sunday schools (youth under 17) and youth clubs (youth over 17).
