December 6, 2024 – Almaty. A general conference of the Bible Society of Kazakhstan was held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the organization’s foundation.
The session was chaired by Bishop Ignaty of Aktobe and Kyzylorda, who has served as the president of the society since 2012.
Participants in the event included: Archpriest Alexander Suvorov, Head of the Department for Public Relations of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District; V.I. Grishko, General Director of the Bible Society of Kazakhstan; Members of the Board, key staff, and representatives of traditional Christian denominations.
The attendees were presented with a report on the work accomplished over the past years. The report highlighted the significant support provided by the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan and the noteworthy contributions of Bishop Ignaty to the organization’s activities.
As a result of long-standing collaboration with traditional Christian denominations, the Bible Society of Kazakhstan has published over 10 new books, including children’s editions of the Bible, the Holy Scriptures in Kazakh, and various formats of the Gospel and the entire New Testament.
During the meeting, Bishop Ignaty was re-elected as the president of the Bible Society of Kazakhstan for a fourth term.
Commemorative medals marking the 30th anniversary of the organization’s foundation were presented to the conference participants.
The gathering concluded with an exchange of congratulations and prayers for God’s blessings in their endeavors.
