Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan and the Orthodox faithful of the Republic were congratulated on the feast of Holy Easter by the Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Supreme Mufti Nauryzbay Kazhy Taganuly.
“On behalf of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, and personally on my own behalf, I congratulate you and all Orthodox Kazakhstanis on the most important Christian feast – Bright Easter.
Orthodoxy in Kazakhstan, like Islam, plays a significant role in the history of our state. Our two religions, like two wings, uphold civil peace and harmony in society, constantly striving to strengthen lofty moral and ethical ideals and good family traditions.
We are glad that religious feasts have become an organic part of the life of the people of Kazakhstan. On our blessed land, Muslims and Orthodox Christians live in concord, peace, and harmony, engaging in constructive labor for the good of our Motherland. Over many centuries, our ancestors developed a unique model of friendly relations based on mutual respect for cultures and religious traditions. The unity of aspirations and common goals of Kazakhstanis in our country helps preserve stability and mutual understanding, peace and concord.
I am confident that Orthodox believers in these days are offering their prayers to the Almighty, asking for the granting of peace, goodness, and prosperity. And we, Muslims, likewise pray to the Creator for the continuation, for many centuries, of friendship and harmony in our Kazakhstani society. Only through joint action, by making common efforts, shall we achieve success and strengthen the foundation for the further flourishing of our common home – the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Dear Orthodox Kazakhstanis! From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you on this wonderful feast – Bright Easter. I wish all of you strong health, happiness and joy, peace and goodness, firm faith, inner serenity, purity of thought, and strength of spirit!
And to you, Your Eminence Metropolitan, I wish strength and faith in serving the Almighty Creator and the people of Kazakhstan. I am confident that your constructive labor in strengthening Kazakhstani patriotism will receive universal recognition. Allow me once again to wish you and your flock благополучие and success in all good endeavors, happiness, and warmth!”
