Memory day in the Assembly of New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia on the first Sunday, starting from February 7 (January 25, Old Style).
She was born in 1878 in the city of Odessa. She was a parishioner of the Resurrection Church in the city of Pavlodar.
On September 23, 1937, she was arrested in Pavlodar. During interrogation, Maria Antonovna Stefani gave the following testimony: "I am unaware of the existence of a counter-revolutionary organization at the Resurrection Church community and cannot provide any information on this matter." Despite her testimony, she was accused of being "a member of a counter-revolutionary organization of churchmen, conducting counter-revolutionary agitation against the Soviet Union, and participating in counter-revolutionary illegal meetings."
The investigation in 1937 concluded with the final verdict: the highest measure of punishment - execution by shooting.
She was canonized as a holy martyr and confessor by the Russian Orthodox Church at the Jubilee Bishops' Council in 2000 for general church veneration.
