(1875 - 1920) – Protopriest, Hieromartyr
Memory: September 16 (September 3, Old Style), in the Assembly of New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church.
Feofan Petrovich Sokolov was born in 1875. He was known to be an inspector of parish schools in the Semirechye region, a member of the Spiritual Consistory, and the rector of the Pokrovsky Church in the city of Verny (now Almaty).
In the autumn of 1920, the venerable protopriest was executed by the new godless authorities.
Hieromartyr Feofan was canonized at the Jubilee Bishops' Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000.
