(1850-1919) – Priest, Hieromartyr
Commemoration Day on September 16 (September 3, O.S.), in the Synaxis of the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church.
Father Vasily, the brother of Priest Parthenius Krasivsky, was born in 1850 in the city of Tomsk in the family of a deacon. In October 1869, he was appointed as a psalmist to the stanitsa of Lepsinsk, Semirechye region.
On November 24, 1876, he was ordained a deacon by Bishop Sofonius to the Holy Trinity Church in the stanitsa of Lepsinsk. On April 18, 1877, he was transferred to Kulja to the Church of Elijah, but on September 22 of the same year, he was returned to the stanitsa of Lepsinsk.
On September 14, 1903, he was ordained a priest by Bishop Arkady, served in the city of Lepsinsk, and was appointed a law teacher at the Lepsinsk church-parish school. From 1904, he served as a priest at the Church of the Intercession in the village of Chemolgan, Semirechye region.
On June 14, 1905, he was awarded the nabedrennik.
From 1916, he served in the Prison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in the city of Verny. In the autumn of 1919, he was tied to the tail of a horse and brutally tortured by released criminals.
The place of his burial is unknown.
He was glorified by the Jubilee Council of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000.
