(1892-1937) – Priest, Hieromartyr
Commemoration Day on September 15 (September 2, O.S.) in the Synaxis of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia.
Born on October 29, 1892, in the city of Gorodets, Nizhny Novgorod province, in a deacon’s family. He received a secondary education. Until 1918, he was a psalmist, ordained as a priest in 1925. Before his arrest, he lived in the village of Efimyevo, First-Bogoroditsky District, Nizhny Novgorod region.
He was convicted by the Special Collegium of the Gorky Regional Court on June 1, 1935, under Article 58-10 "...for saying that there would soon be a war and the Soviet power would perish, and therefore there was no need to join collective farms. During church services, he gave sermons of a counter-revolutionary defeatist nature." He was sentenced to 5 years in a labor camp.
He arrived at Karlag from the Gorky prison on November 12, 1935. He was held at the Burminsky branch of Karlag, working as an orderly.
He was arrested in Karlag on August 30, 1937.

The sentence was carried out on September 15, 1937, at 23:00.
He was glorified by the Jubilee Council of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000.
