(1875 - 1937) – Martyr
Commemoration Day: September 8 (August 26 O.S.), in the Synaxis of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia.
He was born in 1875 in the village of Melnikovo, Yaran District, Vyatka Province.
From 1911 to 1914, he served in the Tsarist army.
On November 27, 1936, he was arrested.
On March 27, 1937, he was sentenced by the OSO at the NKVD of the USSR to 5 years in a corrective labor camp for participating in a "counter-revolutionary group of churchmen." The indictment stated that "...he held meetings at his home where counter-revolutionary literature was read."
He was held in the prisons of Yaran and Kirov.
He was transferred to Karlag from the Petropavlovsk prison on May 16, 1937. He was sent to the Ortaus department of Karlag, where he was arrested on August 22, 1937.
On August 31, 1937, he was sentenced to execution by shooting by the Special Troika of the NKVD for the Karaganda region.
He was glorified by the Jubilee Bishops' Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000.
