The Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, extended congratulations to the Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Supreme Mufti Nauryzbai qajy Taganuly, on the occasion of the feast of Oraza Ait.
“This festive day, which concludes the sacred month of Ramadan for all followers of Islam, and marks the end of thirty days of strict fasting and self-restraint, has since ancient times been celebrated through acts of mercy and special concern for one’s neighbors,” the congratulatory message reads in part.
“From ancient times to the present day, Muslims and Christians have lived in peace and brotherhood on the blessed land of Kazakhstan, laboring together for the good of our country. May God grant that our beloved Kazakhstan will continue to remain a House of peace and harmony — strong and unshakable in its spiritual and moral foundation,” the hierarch emphasized.
Metropolitan Alexander wished Supreme Mufti Nauryzbai qajy Taganuly and all Muslims of Kazakhstan health, peace, and prosperity.
