The Head of the Metropolis Consecrates the Residence of the Administrator of the Aktobe Diocese

On September 1, 2024, in Aktobe, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan performed the consecration ceremony for the newly constructed residence of the administrator of the Aktobe Diocese.

Those present for the service included Bishop Ignaty of Aktobe and Kyzylorda, Bishop Klavdian of Taldykorgan, Vicar of the Astana Diocese; Archpriest Evgeny Vorobyov, rector of the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in Almaty; Hieromonk Prokhor (Endovitsky), head of the Metropolitan’s personal secretariat; Protodeacon Roman Golovin, head of the Metropolitan’s protocol service; and Protodeacon Vladimir Syrovatsky.

Before the prayer service, the Head of the Metropolis addressed those gathered, congratulating the administrator of the Aktobe Diocese on the completion of the construction and expressing hope that the improved conditions for administrative work would contribute to the active development of church life in the region.

Metropolitan Alexander then sprinkled the building's premises with holy water.

Following the consecration, the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan held a working meeting with Bishop Ignaty, during which they discussed current issues related to the development of diocesan spiritual and educational activities and the interaction with state authorities and the public.
