The Head of the Metropolitan District visited the construction site of the church complex in honor of All Saints Who Shone Forth in the Land of Kazakhstan

3 March 2026. Astana. Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan visited the construction site of the church architectural complex, which includes the Cathedral in honor of All Saints Who Shone Forth in the Land of Kazakhstan, the Church of Venerable Sergius of Radonezh, and the spiritual, cultural and educational center of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District.

This project, the realization of which is awaited by numerous faithful, received the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’. During a meeting between Metropolitan Alexander and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, K.-J.K. Tokayev, the Head of State reviewed the project and supported the idea of establishing an Orthodox educational center in the capital together with a church attached to it. By instruction of the President of Kazakhstan, the city authorities allocated a plot of land and assigned it to the Metropolitan District. At present, construction is proceeding at full pace and is being carried out with funds provided by benefactors.

At the working meeting held by Metropolitan Alexander after inspecting the construction site were present: Dean of the parishes of the capital Archimandrite Sergy (Karamyshev); assistant to the dean Priest Sergy Dianov; Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LLP “SK Astanatransstroy” V.I. Pomortsev; staff of the Astana diocesan administration; architects and engineers.

The Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan heard reports from the specialists responsible for the construction of the architectural complex and gave the appropriate instructions concerning the next stages of work.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the hierarch thanked those present for their labors and wished all God’s help in the lofty and responsible task of building the church complex, the appearance of which is awaited by the Orthodox residents of Astana.
