During the first four days of Great Lent (March 3–6, 2025), with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, a live broadcast of the reading of the Great Penitential Canon of St. Andrew of Crete will take place on the official YouTube channel of the Kazakhstani Metropolitan District, Semirechie, from the Ascension Cathedral in Almaty.
Start time: 6:00 PM.
Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan will solemnly chant the Great Canon.
The hymns of the Canon will be chanted by the choir of the Metropolitan District under the direction of the Honored Artist of Russia, O.N. Ovchinnikov.
