March 27, 2025, marks the feast day in honor of the Feodorov Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos.
The Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the Ascension Cathedral in Almaty and will be presided over by Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan.
Concelebrating with the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan will be the hierarchs and clergy of the Southern Capital.
The main church of Almaty houses a replica of the wonderworking icon, made “measure for measure” with the original miraculous image.
The service will begin at 8:00 AM.
Glorified by numerous miracles, the Feodorov Icon of the Queen of Heaven is venerated as a protector of family well-being, childbirth, and the upbringing of children, and as an aid in difficult labor. Prayers offered before this icon have brought about healings from serious illnesses, including infertility—testimonies to which are real and have been documented.
