On July 4, 2025, in Almaty, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, a ceremony was held in the Alexander Nevsky Chapel of the spiritual and cultural center of the Metropolis of Kazakhstan named after Metropolitan Joseph (Chernov) to present awards to members of the delegation of the Kuzbass Metropolis.
The delegation included: Vicar of the Kemerovo Diocese, Bishop Daniil of Guryevsk; Secretary of the Kemerovo Diocesan Administration, Protopriest Dmitry Moshkin; and Rector of the Kuzbass Orthodox Theological Seminary, Priest Andrey Moyarenko.
Attending the ceremony were: Rector of the Almaty Theological Seminary and Head of the Information and Publishing Department of the Metropolis, Protopriest Evgeny Ivanov; Head of the Personal Secretariat of the Metropolitan, Hieromonk Prokhor (Yendovitsky); and Head of the Administrative Secretariat of the Head of the Metropolis, Priest Georgy Sidorov.
For their contribution to the development of relations between the Metropolis of Kazakhstan and the Metropolis of Kuzbass, the members of the delegation were awarded the Jubilee Medal in honor of the 140th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkestan Diocese.
On behalf of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, Protopriest Evgeny Ivanov wished the recipients God’s help in their ecclesiastical labors, strong health, and long life. He then presented them with icons of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Kazakhstan.
