At the administrative and spiritual–cultural center of the Metropolitan District of Kazakhstan, a meeting took place between Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan and the key keeper of the Ascension Cathedral of the southern capital, head of the District’s Department for Public Relations, Archpriest Alexander Suvorov.
Participating in the meeting were: head of the Information Department of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Archpriest Evgeny Ivanov; head of the Metropolitan’s personal secretariat, Hieromonk Prokhor (Endovitsky); head of the Protocol Service of the Head of the Metropolitan District, Protodeacon Roman Golovin; assistant to the Metropolitan, Deacon Daniil Pasyuk.
The archpastor presented Archpriest Alexander with the Medal of the Synodal Department for Church Relations with Society and the Media “Peace and Concord,” II class. The cleric was awarded the honor for his labors in developing church–social relations in the Republic of Kazakhstan and for his contribution to strengthening interethnic peace and interfaith harmony.
His Eminence congratulated Father Alexander and wished him health, many years, and divine aid in his continued pastoral service for the benefit of the Holy Church in the land of Semirechye.
