The first Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Intercession Church following its reconstruction and consecration.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the service was led by the Secretary of the Kostanay Diocese, Hieromonk Gennady (Burdyuzha).
Father Secretary was concelebrated by: Dean of the Lisakovsk Church District and Rector of the Intercession Church, Archpriest Oleg Kalmykov; Dean of the Kostanay Church District, Priest Andrey Krutin; Dean of the Sarykol Church District, Archpriest Vitaly Kleba; and Rector of the Church of the Great Martyr Panteleimon in the city of Zhitikara, Priest Igor Nesterov.
The hymns of the Liturgy were performed by the choir under the direction of T.V. Zhebrak.
Many faithful received the Holy Mysteries of Christ.
At the conclusion of the service, the rite of glorification was performed before the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, especially venerated by the residents of the village of Asencritovka.
After the Liturgy, Hieromonk Gennady addressed the parishioners and villagers with a sermon.
As a gift to the church from Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the Secretary of the Kostanay Diocese presented a Eucharistic set for the celebration of divine services.
At the end of the celebration, the churchwarden A.V. Kuryachenko and benefactors who made a significant contribution to the renewal and adornment of the Intercession Church were awarded honorary distinctions.
