On December 16, 2025, in Ust-Kamenogorsk, the annual diocesan assembly of the clergy of the Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semipalatinsk Diocese was held in the conference hall of the Spiritual and Administrative Center named after Hieromartyr Alexander (Dagaev), under the chairmanship of Archbishop Amphilochius of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semipalatinsk.
The diocesan assembly was attended by members of the diocesan council, heads of diocesan departments, rectors and clergy of parishes, church wardens, monastics, and staff of the diocesan administration.
In the first part of the meeting, Archbishop Amphilochius delivered a report devoted to the life and activities of the Ust-Kamenogorsk Diocese in the concluding year of 2025.
This was followed by reports and presentations from the head of the diocesan legal service, V. G. Lvov, and the chief accountant of the diocese, O. A. Borisova.
After the main presentations, a discussion took place on a number of practical issues related to various aspects of pastoral ministry and the interaction of the diocese with state authorities.
At the conclusion of the assembly, in recognition of their labors for the benefit of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan and in connection with the 60th anniversary of their birth, Archpriest Roman Bobrovsky and Archpriest Petr Khonin were awarded the Order of Venerable Confessor Sebastian of Karaganda.
The ruling hierarch thanked the clergy and staff for the work accomplished over the past year, bestowed God’s blessing upon all those present, and congratulated them on the forthcoming Feast of the Nativity of Christ and the New Year.
