On 4 January 2026, fifteen years marked the repose to the Lord of Metropolitan Chrysanth (Chepil) of Vyatka and Slobodskoy.
Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan served a memorial litia for the ever-memorable first Metropolitan of Vyatka at the Iveron-Seraphim house church of his residence in Almaty.
Praying at the service were the Secretary of the Metropolitan District, Honoured Artist of Russia O. N. Ovchinnikov, and staff of the Almaty Diocesan Administration.
Before the beginning of the prayer, Metropolitan Alexander addressed those present with words in which he gratefully recalled the labours of the ever-memorable hierarch.
At the conclusion of the litia, the clergy and faithful sang “Memory Eternal”.
