June 3, 2026 – the commemoration of the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Emperor Constantine and his mother, Empress Helen.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, Hieromonk Gennady (Burdyuzha), Secretary of the Kostanay Diocese, concelebrating with diocesan clergy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Constantine and Helen Cathedral of the city of Kostanay, which marked its patronal feast.
The hymns were sung by the choir of the Constantine and Helen Cathedral under the direction of T. Zhebrak.
Praying during the divine service were: staff members of the Kostanay Diocesan Administration, parishioners of the principal church of Kostanay, and faithful from neighboring communities.
During the litany for the departed, prayers were offered for the repose of the ever-memorable Bishop Timon (Rusanov), the first hierarch of the Kustanai Diocese.
The sermon following the Communion verse was delivered by Hieromonk Gennady (Burdyuzha).
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a festal procession of the Cross took place, after which the clergy performed the glorification (slavlenie) to the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Emperor Constantine and his mother, Empress Helen.
