June 24 marks the 89th anniversary of the birth of the spiritual mentor of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan — the ever-memorable Metropolitan Chrysanth of Vyatka and Slobodskoy (Chepil; † January 4, 2011).
The life and labors of the ever-memorable hierarch — the first Metropolitan of the Vyatka land — are presented in Metropolitan Alexander’s article “A Man of Faith and a Man of the Church.”
