June 25, 2026. Petropavlovsk. A regular meeting of the Diocesan Council was held at the Spiritual and Administrative Center of the Ascension Cathedral under the chairmanship of Archbishop Vladimir of Petropavlovsk and Bulayevo.
Participating in the meeting were: Archpriest Sergiy Pervushin, Secretary of the Diocesan Administration; Archpriest Dmitry Zhulsarin, Dean of the Bishkul Church District; Priest Antony Shuvakin, Dean of All Saints Church; Deacon Vladimir Bartol, Steward of the Ascension Cathedral; I.S. Ulanov, Head of the Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Petropavlovsk Diocese; S.P. Ivanova, Chief Accountant of the Petropavlovsk Diocese; as well as heads and staff members of diocesan departments and commissions.
The working session began with the singing of the prayer “O Heavenly King.” The meeting was opened by a report from Archbishop Vladimir, Ruling Bishop of the Petropavlovsk and Bulayevo Diocese.
The hierarch informed the participants about his recent meeting with Zh.R. Zhumagulov, Deputy Akim of the North Kazakhstan Region, during which a broad range of issues concerning cooperation between the Petropavlovsk Diocese and the regional administration was discussed.
The participants then reviewed preparations for the celebration of the feast of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, the heavenly patrons of the capital of North Kazakhstan.
Special attention was given to preparations for the Church Historical Conference dedicated to the 158th anniversary of the birth of Hieromartyr Methodius of Petropavlovsk, scheduled to take place on July 29–31, 2026.
During the meeting, the Council members also discussed current issues affecting diocesan and parish life.
At the conclusion of the session, Archbishop Vladimir thanked all those present and imparted his archpastoral blessing.
