September 28, 2026, marked the 55th birthday of Oleg Nikolayevich Ovchinnikov, Secretary of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and Honored Worker of Kazakhstan.

Congratulations on your 55th birthday!
A native of the Vyatka region, you stood at the origins of the revival of church choral singing in our region. In the late 1980s, despite your young age, you became director of the choir at the newly reopened Holy Trinity Church in Makarye.
During your years of service in the Kostroma region, you worked with renowned performers who were natives of the Vyatka region: Alexander Vedernikov, the “Golden Bass of Russia,” People’s Artist of the USSR and recipient of the USSR State Prize, and T.S. Vorobyova, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, whose talent flourished in your choir.
You have made a significant contribution to promoting high musical culture both in Russia and abroad. Through your performances and teaching, you have introduced young people to traditional spiritual values and contributed to the revival of spiritual culture.
You have trained a generation of professional performers and founded several choral ensembles.
I wish you success, inspiration and new creative achievements.
