On August 4, 2024, at the invitation of Metropolitan Benjamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, arrived in the Minsk Metropolis of the Belarusian Exarchate.
The Primate of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan is accompanied by Archbishop Amphilochius of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semipalatinsk, and staff members of the departments and commissions of the Metropolitan District, led by O.N. Ovchinnikov, Honored Artist of Russia.
At the international airport of Minsk, Metropolitan Alexander was met by Metropolitan Benjamin of Minsk and Zaslavl and the clergy of the Minsk Metropolis.
Metropolitan Alexander and the accompanying members of the Kazakhstani pilgrimage delegation visited the administration of the Belarusian Exarchate.
The program of the Head of the Metropolitan District's visit includes visiting places associated with the life of the confessor of the faith and ascetic of piety, Metropolitan Joseph (Chernov).
