October 14, 2024. Uralsk. On the Feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, Bishop Vianor of Uralsk and Atyrau performed the consecration of the domes and crosses for the episcopal residence of the revived St. Nicholas Monastery in the area of the village of Derkul.
His Grace was joined in service by Archimandrite Theodosy (Kuryanov), rector of the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael in Uralsk; Protopriest Vladimir Garasim, dean of the Uralsk District; Protopriest Vasily Kroitor, dean of the Pre-Uralsk District; and Protopriest Alexander Pushin, rector of the episcopal residence of St. Nicholas Monastery in Uralsk.
The event was attended by benefactors and builders of the restored monastery, as well as numerous pilgrims and Orthodox residents of the village.
Before the start of the rite, the bishop greeted the clergy and laity and addressed those gathered with an archpastoral word.
After reading the prayers of consecration, Bishop Vianor sprinkled the newly constructed domes and crosses with holy water. Following the rite, the workers began the installation process.
The archpastor thanked those present for participating in the consecration and urged the faithful to offer fervent prayers for the swift completion of the monastery’s restoration.
