August 14, 2024. Pavlodar. The meeting of the Diocesan Council was held in the spiritual and administrative center at the Annunciation Cathedral under the chairmanship of Archbishop Barnabas of Pavlodar and Ekibastuz.
The meeting was attended by: Dean of the Ekibastuz Church District Archpriest Igor Popov, Secretary of the Diocesan Administration and Dean of the Pavlodar Church District Archpriest Alexei Stepanov, Key Bearer of the Nativity of Christ Cathedral in Pavlodar Archpriest Konstantin Kutasevich, Dean of the Terenkol Church District Archpriest Vladimir Trubachenko and Head of the Diocesan Department of Religious Education and Catechesis Priest Artemy Zhdanov.
Reports at the meeting were delivered by the heads of the Information and Publishing Department and the Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Pavlodar Diocese on the work of the departments. Decisions were also made regarding the organization of the XII Cyril and Methodius Festival of Sunday schools of the Pavlodar Diocese, the organization of Bible clubs (Gospel groups) in parishes, and the use of the Unified Educational and Methodological Kit for Sunday schools of the Russian Orthodox Church in church parish schools of the diocese.
The council members exchanged opinions on improving the activities of spiritual and educational work in parishes, and the current activities of the diocesan departments were analyzed.
At the end of the meeting, His Eminence thanked those gathered and gave everyone an archpastoral blessing.
