On November 11, 2024, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan visited the Sofrino Artistic Production Enterprise in Sofrino, Moscow Region.
Accompanying the head of the Metropolis were: Professor Hegumen Agafangel (Gagua), Doctor of Medical Sciences and Candidate of Theology, and Prorector of the Almaty Theological Seminary; and Hieromonk Anthony (Drobyazko), Sacristan of the Church of the Holy Martyrs Vera, Nadezhda, Lyubov, and their Mother Sophia, representing the Moscow Office of the Metropolis of Kazakhstan.
The delegation was greeted by acting General Director of Sofrino, Vladimir Anatolievich Levin, Head of the Sales Department G.E. Lyapin, and Assistant General Director B.A. Bukhteev.
Upon arrival, His Eminence Metropolitan Alexander laid flowers at the monument to Patriarch Pimen, under whose blessing the enterprise was established in 1980. “Eternal Memory” was chanted for the reposed Primate.
The Metropolitan, along with his accompanying delegation, then visited the house church dedicated to St. Seraphim of Sarov at Sofrino, where they venerated the sacred relics of the church. Following this, they explored the museum exhibits within the facility and left entries in the guestbook.
Vladimir Anatolievich guided the Metropolitan on a tour of the factory’s many production workshops, providing an overview of the company’s operations. The head of the Metropolis discussed various aspects of production with the factory management and received an in-depth look at the technological processes behind the creation of their products.
During the tour, Metropolitan Alexander met with factory employees, offering them his blessings for their work and the endeavors of the company.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Metropolitan and the acting General Director exchanged commemorative gifts and extended mutual wishes for continued success and fruitful endeavors.
