November 21, 2024. On the feast day of the Holy Archangel Michael and All the Heavenly Bodiless Powers, celebrations were held at the main church of the Urals Diocese to mark its patronal feast.
The festive Divine Liturgy was led by Bishop Vianor of Uralsk and Atyrau.
Concelebrating with His Grace were: Archimandrite Theodosius (Kuryanov), rector of the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael in Uralsk; Protopriest Anatoly Robu, rector of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Uralsk; Archimandrite Dionysius (Kozulev), cleric of the Pokrovsky Women’s Monastery in Uralsk; Protopriest Vladimir Garasim, dean of the Uralsk district; Protopriest Georgy Lemachko, rector of the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Darinskoe; Clergy from the city churches and the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael in Uralsk.
The Episcopal Choir, directed by L.V. Bondareva, performed the liturgical hymns.
Praying during the service were: Archbishop Antony (Moskalenko); Cossacks; Parishioners from the city’s churches; Pilgrims from surrounding villages.
At the conclusion of the Liturgy, a glorification service was held in honor of the Heavenly Angelic Host, after which Bishop Vianor congratulated the parishioners on the occasion of their patronal feast and delivered a homily.
The evening before, His Grace conducted a Vigil in the main church of the Urals Diocese, including the reading of the Akathist to the Heavenly Bodiless Powers.
