A festive concert “Christ Is Born, Glorify Him!” will take place in Almaty

7 January 2026. Almaty. By the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, a festive concert titled “Christ Is Born, Glorify Him!” – the music of Christmas traditions of the peoples of the world – will take place in the cathedral hall of the Ascension Cathedral.

Participants: the gusli ensemble “Gorenka” (director – Anastasia Statsenko) and the children’s church choir of the Ascension Cathedral (director – Natalia Golovina).

Organizers: Head of the Department for Public Relations of the Metropolitan District, key-bearer of the Ascension Cathedral Archpriest Alexander Suvorov, and cleric of the Ascension Cathedral of the Southern Capital, head of the youth educational and outreach project “Gornitsa of Masters”, Archpriest Alexander Ievlev.
