On 14 February 2026, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, a Meeting of the Lord Ball dedicated to Orthodox Youth Day was held in Taldykorgan.
Among the participants and guests were representatives of the youth clubs of St. John the Theologian Cathedral of the city and the Znamenny–Abalak Parish in the village of Karabulak, as well as pupils of the Sunday schools of Taldykorgan.
Invited creative groups and performers from the city also took part in the program.
A thematic exhibition was organized for guests, devoted to the history of the Feast of the Meeting of the Lord, its iconography, and the tradition of celebrating Orthodox Youth Day.
During the event, classical musical works were performed, along with poetic readings and vocal performances. Historical and ballroom dances were presented, including the minuet, waltz, and quadrille.
At the conclusion of the dance program, a festive reception was held.
More than 100 people took part in the celebration.
