“Wonderful School Years” – Film Marking the 30th Anniversary of the St. Sergius of Radonezh Gymnasium in Petropavlovsk

September 2, 2026. With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the Semirechye television studio of the Metropolitan District (Director – V. Posadneva, Honored Worker of Culture; Director of Photography – A. Schmidt) has released the film “Wonderful School Years,” dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the St. Sergius of Radonezh Gymnasium in Petropavlovsk.

The film tells the story of the educational institution and its academic and educational work.

The film notes that the gymnasium operates on a semi-boarding basis: students spend the entire day at the school, attend additional classes and extracurricular activities, and complete independent study under the supervision of teachers.

Particular attention is given to the students’ spiritual, moral and patriotic upbringing, as well as their creative and intellectual development. The school offers chess, choreography and vocal programs, as well as a theatre studio.

The film features interviews with the Director of the Gymnasium, Archbishop Vladimir of Petropavlovsk and Bulayevo, teachers and students, as well as archival photographs of graduating classes from different years.
