Archbishop Sebastian of Karaganda and Shakhtinsk Participates in Events Dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the Day of Gratitude

On March 1, 2025, the regional forum “Adamgershilik – Asyl Kasiet” (“Morality – A Noble Quality”) was held at the House of Friendship in Karaganda, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the Day of Gratitude.

The festive event was attended by: Archbishop Sebastian of Karaganda and Shakhtinsk; Akim of the Karaganda Region, E.K. Bulekpaev; Akim of the city of Karaganda, M.M. Kozhukhov; heads of regional administrations; and representatives of all ethnocultural centers operating in the Karaganda region.

During the gathering, participants exchanged views on the significance of interfaith peace and harmony in Kazakhstan. Special attention was also given to the importance of the unity of all religious denominations in serving the Homeland and one’s neighbor.

At the conclusion of the event, Archbishop Sebastian was presented with a letter of appreciation from the Akim of the Karaganda Region.

The meeting was held in a warm and trusting atmosphere.
