March 30, 2025. Astana. A ceremony for the presentation of church awards to government and public figures of the capital of the Republic was held in the fireplace hall of the Spiritual and Cultural Center of the Metropolitan District of Kazakhstan, named after the Equals-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius.
The award ceremony was presided over by Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by: Dean of the capital’s parishes, Archimandrite Sergy (Karamyshev); Sacristan of the Constantine and Helen Cathedral, Protopriest Sergy Kaliev; Cleric of the Assumption Cathedral of the capital, Priest Nikolai Koval; and staff members of the Astana Diocesan Administration.
Before the beginning of the formal ceremony, the Head of the Metropolitan District addressed those present with words of greeting. “Your service to society is a manifestation of fidelity to high moral ideals, care for one’s neighbor, and the pursuit of good. May your labors continue to bring peace, stability, and well-being to our country,” the hierarch noted in particular.
In recognition of their labors for the benefit of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, government and public figures of the city of Astana were awarded the “Enbek Ushin” (For Labors) Orders and “Enbek Ushin” (For Labors) Medals.
At the conclusion of the solemn ceremony, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan congratulated the recipients and wished them good health and blessed success in their noble service to others.
