Bishop Chrysanf of Chimkent and Turkestan Participated in the Round Table “The Constitution – a Guarantee of Religious Stability”

August 15, 2025. Shymkent. Bishop Chrysanf of Chimkent and Turkestan took part in a round table discussion on the topic “The Constitution – a Guarantee of Religious Stability.”

The event was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan (August 30) and took place at the House of Friendship.

The round table was organized by the Department of Religious Affairs of the city of Shymkent.

Other participants included: Head of the Department of Religious Affairs of the City Akimat B.A. Onerbaev, Secretary of the Chimkent Diocese A.B. Demin, staff member of the Information Department of the Chimkent Diocese A.N. Garo, as well as leaders and representatives of the religious associations of the metropolis.

During the discussion, the ethical, social, and legal aspects of interfaith interaction in Kazakhstani society were addressed. The participants agreed that the further development of dialogue, based on mutual respect and legal responsibility, will contribute to strengthening peace and harmony in the country.
