September 26, 2025, Almaty. At the invitation of the command of National Guard Military Unit No. 5571, and with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, Archpriest Alexander Suvorov – Head of the Public Relations Department of the Kazakhstan Metropolis and key clergyman of the Ascension Cathedral of the southern capital – held a meeting with servicemen to discuss patriotism, spiritual formation, and the prevention of various forms of deviant behavior.
Archpriest Alexander emphasized that patriotism is not just loud slogans – it is daily loyalty to one’s homeland, responsibility for its spiritual values, and readiness to serve one’s people. He spoke about the importance of cultivating inner discipline and responsibility – qualities without which neither military service nor a mature civic stance is possible.
A separate topic of the talk was the prevention of deviant behavior – from destructive addictions to harmful habits associated with modern lifestyles. The priest urged the guardsmen to preserve the purity of soul and mind, noting that true strength lies in the ability to resist temptation and maintain spiritual integrity.
The command of the unit expressed gratitude to Archpriest Alexander Suvorov for the meaningful and inspiring conversation, noting his significant contribution to the spiritual and moral education of the personnel.
