A concert dedicated to Moscow Day was held at the Vladimir Parish in the Chemolgan station

On September 8, 2024, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, a festive concert "Golden-domed Moscow" dedicated to Moscow Day took place at the parish of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God in Chemolgan station, Almaty region.

The event was organized by the Astana Diocese's Commission for Educational Service with the support of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Almaty.

The guests of the event included: Vicar of the Astana Diocese, Bishop Benjamin of Talgar; Consul of the Russian Federation, Head of the Russian House (Rossotrudnichestvo) in the southern capital, T.V. Baryshnikova; Ataman of the "Union of Cossacks of Semirechye" and member of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, V.S. Shikhotov; Representative of the Tatar-Bashkir Cultural Center of Almaty, G.G. Tamendarov; members of the Union of Cossacks of Semirechye of the Association of Russian, Slavic, and Cossack Organizations of Kazakhstan; students of Sunday schools and parishioners of the church.

During the concert, performances were given by the students of the church singing school "Tsevnitsa" at the Ascension Cathedral (conductor – N. Golovina); students of the Sunday schools of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God parish in Chemolgan station, the Michael the Archangel Church in the city of Kaskelen, and the St. Elizabeth Church in the village of Koldi; the "Cossack Glory" ensemble of the Union of Cossacks of Semirechye, the leader of the "Motor-Roller" group I. Autov, the "Zory Semirechya" ensemble, and the city of Almaty's Folk Song Theater under the direction of M. Granova.

Before the concert, a children's sidewalk chalk drawing competition was held.

The participants of the event were gifted books provided by the Bible Society of Kazakhstan (Executive Director – V.I. Grishko).
