Akim of Almaty, Yerbolat Askarbekovich Dosaev, congratulated Metropolitan Alexander on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Astana and Almaty Diocese and the 35th anniversary of his archpastoral service:

I congratulate you and all the Orthodox faithful on the remarkable occasion of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Astana and Almaty Diocese!
The Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan makes a significant contribution to strengthening interfaith harmony and peace within our society.
I would also like to extend my special congratulations on the 35th anniversary of your archpastoral ministry.
As the spiritual leader of the Orthodox faithful of Kazakhstan, you have made a tremendous contribution to preserving and fostering public harmony.
Under your leadership, the Church has achieved important milestones, including the transformation of the Almaty Theological Seminary, the establishment of the Metropolitan Joseph Spiritual and Cultural Center, the large-scale restoration of the Ascension Cathedral, and the creation of the church and monument dedicated to St. Alexander Nevsky.
I wish you continued success in your ministry, spiritual prosperity, and unity among believers! May every day of your path be filled with joy, peace, and inner richness!"
