A Documentary Film Entitled “Mercy”, Dedicated to the Social Ministry of the Almaty Diocese, Has Been Released

The editorial board of Mitropolia.kz, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, presents to its readers the documentary film “Mercy”.

The film was produced by the team of the YouTube channel “Proobraz” at the initiative and with the support of the public foundation “ELEOS-MEIRIM” (President – V. M. Kapsamun).

The documentary tells the story of more than thirty years of work carried out by the diocesan service “Mercy”, which provides assistance to elderly people living alone, to the seriously ill, to low-income families and to those who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.

The film highlights the key areas of activity of the “Mercy” social service: organisation of volunteer assistance, the operation of clothing and food distribution centres at the St. Nicholas Cathedral of the Southern capital, and cooperation with the city’s palliative care centre.

Interviews and personal stories of volunteers and those under the care of “Mercy” are featured in the film, revealing the practical significance of social ministry.
