Patriarchal Condolences on the Repose of Archbishop Anthony (Moskalenko)

April 24, 2025. His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ expressed condolences on the repose of Archbishop Anthony (Moskalenko):

Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan,

of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Republic of Kazakhstan

To the Clergy and Laity of the Uralsk Diocese

Right Reverend Hierarchs,

Venerable Fathers, beloved brothers and sisters,

CHRIST IS RISEN!

I address you with this joyous proclamation of the Savior’s Resurrection from the tomb, of the triumph of life over death, and I express my heartfelt sympathy on the repose of Archbishop Anthony (Moskalenko).

The newly-departed archpastor labored for many years in the Russian Far East, Siberia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan.

May the Risen Christ, Who by His death trampled down death, grant rest to the soul of the newly-reposed Archbishop Anthony and forgive his voluntary and involuntary transgressions.
