October 18, 2025 – Kostanay. A round table dedicated to the Day of Spiritual Harmony was held at the A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University, bringing together leaders and representatives of the city’s religious organizations.
The event was organized by the Youth Affairs Department of Kostanay Regional University and the Center for the Study of Interethnic and Interfaith Harmony.
Participants of the round table included representatives of religious organizations, university students, members of the student parliament, and ethnocultural associations.
By the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, temporarily administering the Kostanay Diocese, the event was attended by Archpriest Vitaly Kleba, cleric of the Constantine and Helen Cathedral in Kostanay.
During the meeting, reports were presented by leaders and representatives of religious associations. Archpriest Vitaly Kleba delivered a presentation titled “Peace and Harmony as Spiritual Values of Society.”
The round table participants discussed issues concerning the preservation of spiritual unity, interethnic peace, and interfaith harmony in the country.
Later that day, a volleyball tournament among religious organizations of the Kostanay Region was held in Kostanay.
The goal of the event was to strengthen interfaith cooperation, develop friendly ties, and promote unity among representatives of various confessions in the region.
Teams included a delegation from the Kostanay Diocese and the Constantine and Helen Cathedral team.
Before the start of the tournament, Priest Alexey Kovalev, rector of the Archangel Michael Church in Kostanay, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
As a result of the competition, the team of the Kostanay Diocese took second place.
